Organised by the municipality of Bettembourg, the first Nuit des Merveilles event held on July 10, 2010 welcomed some 20 professional street artists including musicians, circus acts, stilt walkers, puppeteers, mime artists, designers and much more. There was something to see and do for all ages and tastes, for moms and dads and for the kids too! The 3000 or so visitors were enthralled by an exciting entertainment programme, with the excitement continuing right through the evening. Whenever major events are organised, the quantities of waste, packaging and disposable tableware involved can be considerable. Today, we have the possibility of using biodegradable tableware. The material used is often manufactured from corn and consequently decomposes in just a few weeks. The municipality of Bettembourg has long favoured the use of biodegradable material. The bins are easy to find thanks to clearly identifiable signposts. Additionally, information panels are located at the site's various access points.    

An event such as the Nuit des Merveilles deserves outstanding food and restaurant services! For this reason, we have called in well-reputed caterers who will be surprising visitors with the originality and quality of the dishes proposed! In addition to the traditional grilled meat dishes, Lët’z Grill is proposing a hamburger recipe specially designed for the occasion in addition to its mouth-watering spareribs. What's more, those wishing to do so also have the possibility to tuck into some delicious pasta, pizzas and foccacias prepared by Pasta Fresca. And of course, no festival would be complete without refreshments! Visitors can quench their thirst as they sip the "cocktail des merveilles" created for the event by Cocktail Edit. Whether prepared with or without alcohol, they will be appreciated by adults and youngsters alike.
